Hello friends!

We have so much goodness to share with you all and we are very excited about so many things on the horizon. Before we get into all of the fun stuff, we have some somber news to share. We lost a very, very dear friend to the barn this past month and our hearts are still healing over this tremendous loss. Our, oh so sweet, Wonder the dog has crossed over the rainbow bridge after many years of love and kindness. Wonder was a blind rescue pup and even though he couldn’t physically see, he saw more beauty in others and our world than most of us sighted individuals could ever imagine. He was courageous and would run like the wind through the yard with his sighted siblings. He truly trusted his heart to be his guide and was always filled with delight and wonder (hence his name!) Wonder was strong but he was also so gentle, trusting, and forgiving. It would have been easy to overlook Wonder when he was a puppy because he was a shelter dog and blind, but we would have missed out on knowing an amazing soul. Shelter dogs are loving and they know when they have been given a second chance. We miss our boy Wonder more than words can say, but if we can take anything away from this loss and his being such a special part of our world it is to adopt, don’t shop. Shelter animals have so much love to give and all they ask for in return is for you to love and care for them. We miss you sweet, Wonder. Thank you for bringing so much light and love to this world.

BIG NEWS!!! Project: Thrive is moving! You read that correctly, we are packing up and relocating all of the animals to a place with more land for them to play on. Not only will this be beneficial for our current residents, but this means the prospect of protecting even more animals in the future! Not to mention, this move will bring us one step closer to making our Project: Thrive Village a reality. We are so, so excited about this. Our objective is to provide a larger space for ongoing programs, rehab/care, and to involve as many people as possible who can share and benefit from kindness, compassion, and respect. The animals were a little nervous at first when we told them; it is always scary leaving what you know and moving to a place where you will make new friends and where it is different from where you grew up. However, after we explained everything to them you could see the excitement grow on their faces. Now, as they start to pack their little bags, they can’t wait! We can’t either. Stay tuned for more information on moving day!

Time for a good ol’ fashion Barn Raising! That’s right, we need to raise the roof, quite literally, on a new barn for our new location and we need your help! This new property is the most amazing place for us, but right now it isn’t ready for the animals. We need a barn and quickly! We have created a fun and interactive way to give, it’s called a Giving Grid. We are going to be launching a big campaign on this very shorty, so keep on the lookout for more information. However, in the interim, if you want to get a jump start on the fun and be ahead of the game, check it out here! What an awesome thing to be a part of. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We have a Pre-Vet group coming to the barn to volunteer with the animals on  March 25th at 11:00 am and we would love to have some of you come and volunteer as well, to help keep everything flowing nicely. We are also in need of Grant Writing Volunteers. If you, or someone you know, is an expert at writing grants and you are looking to volunteer with some amazing animals, we would love to speak with you! You can reach out to us and/or learn more about volunteering with Project: Thrive here.

If you would like to contribute to Project:Thrive but you are unable to volunteer, we are always in need of donations. It is your generosity that helps to continue to grow and preserve the work we do with these sweet beings. We appreciate you all so very, very much. If you would like to contribute to Project: Thrive, please visit our DONATE page.  Don’t forget about AmazonSmiles! Remember that with AmazonSmiles, whenever you place an order, a portion of the proceeds will be directed to the charity of your choice at no additional cost to you. What a great way to support an organization like Project: Thrive!

Thank you all for your continued support and generosity. We appreciate you more than you know! Stay tuned for more information on our move and our Giving Grid. We hope you can be a part of this exciting time for Project: Thrive.
